From the Teacher's Desk
Hello~
We had another nice week in 4th grade. Students have been working hard. This week we had our first Benchmark assessments. These test are to see if students understood the standards we taught thus far in the school year. We do this type of testing to “catch” students prior to PSSA’S.
The houses in science are coming along great! Students have all rooms wired with lights. The interior designing has really sparked an interest with all 4th graders.
In math, students completed their graphs using Numbers, the Mac version of excel, and word to create pictographs. They did an excellent job completing both graphs.
In reading we enjoyed the historical fiction selection, Will Her Native Language Disappear? Students liked deciphering the symbols used in the Choctaw language.
